Circuit Racing treats the car like a wild beast that must be tamed. The track's geometry is difficult, not merely asphalt. One immutable rule is that victory doesn't belong to the one who floores the gas pedal the hardest, but to the one who knows when to brake.
To become King of the Circuit, you need to forget about instinctive driving and learn professional techniques.
This is the biggest mistake beginners make: trying to rush into corners. Brake early before entering the corner. Steering towards the corner's apex, the one closest to the inner edge. To depart, floor the gas pedal after the apex. Entering the corner swiftly is less crucial than escaping it quickly.
When racing on a straight, drive right behind your opponent. The vacuum behind them will help your car reduce air resistance, allowing for a sudden acceleration to perform a spectacular overtake at the last minute.
Avoid drifting unless absolutely necessary. Circuit Racing drifts wear out tires and slow you down. Maintain a steady drive. Speed increases with less tyre squeal.
The controls are simple but require finesse.
