Welcome to the voyage of Super Mario Bros Movie. Movie game! Based on the smash cartoon hit, it recaptures the epic tale of plumber siblings Mario and Luigi as a compelling platformer. This version has the essence of the traditional series but features stunning landscapes and dramatic action sequences. Your aim is to end Bowser's campaign of world domination, rescue Luigi and restore peace to the Mushroom Kingdom.
The fundamental gameplay is around careful manoeuvring and jumping. You make Mario run, jump over chasms, stomp on Goombas and Koopa Troopas, and smash brick blocks to gather coins and mystical power-ups.
What makes this edition different are the specific challenges:
Mushroom Kingdom Training - Dodge giant floating obstacles and fake Piranha Plants with Princess Peach watching over you.
Kong Arena: Fight Donkey Kong on some unsafe scaffolding. Requires quick reactions to avoid enormous barrels.
Rainbow Road Speed: The game transitions smoothly into a high-stakes kart race, where you’ll have to avoid attacks from Bowser’s army and zip down the multi-colored circuit.
Mario's strength is more than just jumping; success or failure is determined by collection and intelligent use of things.
Super Mushroom: Makes Mario grow into a giant. Increases his brick-smashing power and gives him one more "hit" before he shrinks down to regular size. Fire Flower: Allows you to hurl flaming fireballs, killing enemies from a distance.
Super Star: Grants you a short time of invincibility, enabling you to smash through any obstacles at lightning speed.
Tanooki Suit and Cat Suit: Allow you to float in mid-air or climb up vertical walls to access secret bonus sections.
Left/Right Arrows or A/D: Move the character sideways.
Up Arrow or W / Spacebar: Jump.
Down Arrow or S: Crouch, or enter green pipes to explore the underground.
Shift / X: Sprint to build momentum for clearing gaps, or throw fireballs.
