Forget games with sophisticated controls. Wave Race illustrates that sometimes, just one touch may make you sweat. It’s not simply a casual activity; it’s a demanding test of your reflexes, focus, and sense of timing.

You take on the role of a tiny arrow, hurtling tirelessly through narrow tunnels riddled with traps. There are no brakes and no health bars. The slightest collision with spikes, gears, or walls spells instant Game Over!

How to play Wave Race

Wave Race

The most innovative aspect of Wave Race is how you control your flight path. Your arrow surges forward automatically, leaving you with just one simple action:

Press and hold: The arrow soars upward or glides smoothly along the tunnel ceiling.

Release: Gravity pulls the arrow into a downward dive.

Rhythmically alternating between "Press" and "Release" creates a flowing, sinusoidal trajectory—much like the undulation of waves. To survive, you must look far ahead, read the terrain, and execute perfect "wave-riding" maneuvers to weave through deadly narrow gaps.

Game Modes

Level Mode

Start with sparse obstacles to get a feel for the rhythm. As you progress, the space tightens, and jagged rock formations become increasingly dense and complex. On "Hard" levels, replaying dozens of times to memorize the map is completely normal.

Endless Mode

There is no finish line. The tunnel generates randomly and continuously. This is where you test how many seconds you can survive.

Race Mode

Satisfy your competitive spirit by racing against other arrows. The first one to survive and reach the finish line wins.

Survival Guide for Beginners

Look Ahead

Don't just stare at your arrow. Shift your gaze to the right side of the screen to anticipate upcoming obstacles and prepare your "Press-Release" rhythm.

Don't Spam the Button

Rapid, panicked clicking will cause the arrow to move jerkily and lose control. Stay calm and press decisively to create long, smooth, wave-like glides.

Learn from Failure

On difficult levels, death isn't the end—it's data. Remember the location of the gear that crushed you so you can adjust your timing for the next attempt.

Utilize the Ceiling and Floor

On safe, straight walls, you can keep the button pressed to slide along the ceiling or let go entirely to slide along the floor, giving yourself a bit more time before approaching tight zigzag corridors.
